Bill has been in the accounting profession for over 40 years, first with companies in a number of different industries, and then, for the last 15 years, in his own small business counseling firm, with accounting and tax practices in both Canton and Lansing, Michigan. In May 2008, Bill’s firm merged with Schultz & Associates, PLC.
Bill’s Enrolled Agent designation came directly from the IRS in 1994. He has assisted numerous clients in starting and growing their businesses and avoiding the regulatory pitfalls that sometimes beset small businesses. He also enjoys the tax preparation portion of the business, where he endeavors to find the best and most accurate solution with the greatest benefit for the client.
Bill currently spends most of his time working on individual income tax returns. His preference is to work with clients who own real estate, have installment sales, own partnership interests, have a Schedule C business, have capital gains issues, and those who will be affected by the new healthcare act.
Bill graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in accounting. For the last 16 years, he has been a member of the Canton Township Planning Commission.
His avocations include crossword puzzles, travel, golf and spending time with his wife and his many grandchildren and their families.
