High School Externship Program
Schultz High School Externship Program
The Schultz & Associates, CPA High School Externship Program only began in 2015 but has already been a success. We work with teachers and students to find students who would be interested in job shadowing and learning what working in the accounting profession would entail.
Since our firm already had a long history of providing college internship opportunities, reaching out to high school aged students was the next logical step. Each student accepted into the program will have an opportunity to work with our staff eight time in two hours intervals over a four week period. The program run after school that the student does not need to miss any class time.
Students interested in the externship should have the following qualifications:
- Completed 10th grade.
- Completed or in the process of taking a high school accounting class.
- Valid work permit.
- Considering or planning to study accounting in college.
- A cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.25
- Reliable transportation.
